Exciting News for St Aloysius' College - SSDA Approval
The College is pleased to announce that it has received approval for our State Significant Development Application (SSDA). The SSDA constituted our 20-year Master Plan, Plan Magis, which will see us improve the facilities on our three campuses in Milsons Point.
This is exciting news for the College and its community. It gives us the permission we have been seeking to renew our campuses over the coming years with a focus on creating a variety of learning spaces for our students and new, improved work spaces for our staff. It will be the most significant transformation of our physical environment since the building project from the 1960s to 1980 which saw the rebuilding of the Upper Pitt Street Campus.
Please watch the video below if you would like to learn more.
With Plan Magis, we are pursuing our collective call to honour our traditions, whilst updating our approaches and reinvigorating our teaching practices. This is being true to our mission as a Jesuit School.
In Wyalla, Plan Magis will extend classrooms and upgrade internal teaching and learning spaces. It will also feature a tertiary-style environment providing a variety of spaces to support collaborative work, group study and self-directed learning. This will reinforce Wyalla's place as a Senior Centre for Years 11 and 12, which is an important rite of passage through the College.
The approval of the SSDA is a moment to celebrate. We have achieved something significant. Thank you for your ongoing support of the College and its Jesuit mission.
